2021 Summer, We’re Heading West

July 2021 we started out from our home in Merritt Island, FL to Leadville, CO to help our youngest son Brian with his run in the Leadville 100 mile ultramarathon race over the mountains. 

Along the way we stopped for a night at Southern Grace Lavender Farm in Panama City, FL.  This privately owned lavender farm is owned by an awesome young couple.  If you’re ever close to Panama City, I recommend that you visit.

We also stopped at Houmas House and Gardens in Darrow LA and checked out the mansion and grounds.

Willis, Texas just north of Houston was our next stop we call home for about a month. While there we visited family in Dallas and friends in Houston.

We also attended the Junior Olympics with our daughter Jennifer and son in-law Bruce to watch our grandsons Ethan and Jake swim and win medals!

While we were there we went to Galveston to drive and relax on the beach. We also visited the Galveston Railroad Museum and the Bryan Museum.
