2023 Remember the Alamo

Our 2023 travels actually started December 27, 2022 with Arizona being our winter destination. After a few stops along the way, we stayed just outside Houston, so Jeff could visit with a longtime friend from high school.

Our first long stay was outside San Antonio, TX. While here we visited the Alamo and learned more about the history in this area.

Across the street from the Alamo are the steps to the famous River Walk where we had a great meal at Casa Rio which was the first restaurant to open on the San Antonio Riverwalk. We spent a good part of a day walking along the river walk taking in the sights.  We would walk some, sit some and talk some. It was a great day spent in a place I really wanted to visit to see what the River Walk was all about.
